  • Personal The p page as sources of new information - - one site I found recently and like a lot is Tree Hugger. I feast fourteen years of teaching and writing has taken me many places. I use the links on the mgreat these days from working out at Dragon Within Mixed Martial Arts. For help articulating some of my writing I use Matt Cardin of The Teeming Brain.

The core of Ideas for America 1 is made up of the research of MassInc. and their various publications. All of the other research and information is built on the base that their hard work provided. For information about federal spending and policy I like The Tax Foundation and U.S. Government Spending.

  • New Sources New sources to Ideas for America 1 are too many to mention, but two are the model  of The Hour Exchange, now a part of three of the twelve chapters. The good work of Timebanks is large; look at the Timebank Listing for a Timebank near you. For people looking to spice up their life, the Boston Arts and Business Council can train and placing people to boards of arts organizations. The Massachusetts Taxpayers Foundation has a good site with solutions to some policy questions, in particular their idea of "plan design" in health care.

Doing Unto Others

Core Values One core value of the site is the Norman Rockwell painting above which hung in our kitchen throughout the 1970's. That being said, this alone won't get us out of our situation in this country? At the local level, the model of The Hour Exchange seems to  embody the Rockwell mantra best. It's a system that can not only enable many to survive and thrive, but also be a better neighbor. Myself, I'm working on putting together a model version of it in my community.
